I let reading take over this summer. It’s just what I needed. Last summer I was too busy to settle in with my books, only able to squeeze in a few novels here and there. I missed the ease of summer reading and vowed that this year would be different. I have been consuming books!

Oh gosh, always mysteries! I’m in love with Elizabeth George and Denise Mina and Anthony Horowitz and many others! I try to branch out and read REAL books, but I don’t have a lot of time to read when I work, so I’ve decided that I am going to read what I love. I tell that to my middle-school students also. READ WHAT YOU LOVE.

Mysteries are real books, in my opinion! I’ll look into these authors. Have you read the Miss Phyrne Fisher mysteries? After my book was published, I promised myself 5 years to read only what I want to read and not what I *should*. It’s been heavenly!
